2001 Fall Whooping Crane Migration

Flying with a slight tailwind on departure from Sauk Co. the team managed to skip an intended stop, flying a total of 48 miles. Bill Lishman reports that upon nearing the destination the wind had shifted and during the last few miles they struggled with a headwind.
