2003 Whooping Crane Migration

October 20, 2003

Sauk County, Wisconsin - Southerly winds at 15 to 20 mph kept the migration team and whooping cranes on the ground. The upper Midwest is experiencing unseasonably warm weather - great for people but poor flight conditions for ultralights that have whooping cranes following close behind.

Total distance flown is now 45.8 miles.
